General Terms of Use and Sale

1. Purpose

These terms govern access to and use of Backstedge, an online service published by BACKSTEDGE.COM (see the legal notice). By creating an account or using the service, you accept them without reservation. This English translation is provided for convenience. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.

2. The service

Backstedge is a statistical analysis tool: it lets you build sports betting strategies, test them on historical data (backtesting), measure their stability and track the upcoming matches that fit their rules.

• Backstedge is not a betting operator: no wager can be placed on the platform.
• Backstedge does not provide investment advice or guaranteed predictions.
• Backtest results are simulations on past data: past performance does not predict future results, and no winnings are guaranteed.

3. Account

The service is restricted to adults (18 years and over). Sign-in is passwordless, using a code received by email or an identity provider (Google). You are responsible for access to your email inbox and for the actions performed from your account; connected devices can be reviewed and revoked in Settings › Security.

4. Plans and payment

Backstedge offers a free plan and paid subscriptions (monthly or yearly). Each plan’s prices, quotas and features are displayed on the pricing page before any subscription; they are authoritative at the time of the order. The sale is operated by Stripe, acting as merchant of record: it collects the payment, issues the invoice and charges the applicable tax, which is added on top of the displayed price based on the billing country. Backstedge stores no payment card data.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at each term, until cancelled.
• Billing and the payment method are managed from Settings › Subscription (billing portal).
• If a payment fails, access to paid features may be suspended after the grace period.

5. Right of withdrawal

The service is digital content supplied immediately upon subscription. By subscribing, you request immediate performance of the service and expressly waive your fourteen-day right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code. As the sale is operated by Stripe as merchant of record, any refund is governed by its terms.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings › Subscription: paid access remains active until the end of the period already paid for, without renewal. Account deletion is performed from Settings › Account; it is preceded by a withdrawal period during which it can be cancelled, after which the data is deleted.

7. Acceptable use

• No abusive automated access (scraping, deliberate overload) and no circumvention of quotas or plan restrictions.
• No resale or provision of the service or its data to third parties without written consent.
• The publisher may suspend an account in the event of a breach of these terms, after notice.

8. Data and availability

Sports data and odds come from third-party providers: Backstedge guarantees neither their completeness nor their accuracy, and flags in the interface the cases where information is estimated or missing. The service is provided “as is”, with a high availability objective but no service-level commitment.

9. Liability

Betting decisions made on the basis of the service’s analyses are your sole responsibility. The publisher cannot be held liable for losses related to bets, and, for any other cause, its liability is limited to the amount paid for the service over the last twelve months.

10. Responsible gambling

Betting carries risks: debt, isolation, addiction. The service is restricted to adults. For help, call 09 74 75 13 13 (French helpline, non-premium-rate call) or visit joueurs-info-service.fr.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. In the event of a substantial change, users are informed by email or in the app before it takes effect; continued use constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution is sought first; failing that, consumers may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator or bring it before the competent courts.
